We are dedicated to making your Martial Arts experience enjoyable and satisfying, as well as to help you reach your goals. All of our instructors hold master black belts in Taekwondo and have trained for years to qualify as instructors. Our carefully structured programs go far beyond punching, blocking, and kicking. We will help you acquire effective self-defense skills and provide you with a comprehensive personal development program.

TINY TIGER'S MARTIAL ARTS

What is the Tiny Tigers Program?

The Tiny Tigers Program is a preliminary martial arts training course that focuses on building 4 to 6-year-old capabilities physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually. Our program will help shape each student’s life in a way that will enhance their future. We are confident in what our program can do for your child.

Children in this age group are in a unique growth period in their lives. Their gross motor skills are relatively refined, so it becomes necessary and appropriate at ages three through six to establish a foundation in basic, fundamental skills. The skills on which our Tiny Tigers curriculum covers are focus, teamwork, control, balance, memory, discipline, fitness, and coordination. All of these skills are vitally important to have for anyone to succeed in life. That is our primary goal for our students. To give them the tools to succeed.

How Our Program Works

Our Tiny Tigers program works on a level by level bases. These levels are shown through belt rank. To advance, the student must show that they can follow instructions and memorize and perform their techniques.

As your child progresses level by level, he or she will become sharper, more focused, and better developed physically and mentally, than a child who does not participate in a course strategically designed like our Tiny Tiger Program.

CHILDREN & FMILY'S MARTIAL ARTS

Our Children’s program is specifically designed for kids ages 7 - 12 years old

We help our students set both short-term and long-term goals and continually work towards achieving those goals.  Our curriculum helps children develop and refine their motor skills, as well as exercise to increase speed, power, and flexibility.  Mountain Tae Kwon Do students push themselves to become stronger athletes.  While the physical benefits of taekwondo are very great, the mental benefits are just as rewarding.  We continually motivate our students to increase their knowledge and willingness to learn.  To do this we use the “Black Belt'' attitude.  The Black Belt attitude teaches students to understand that the path to Black Belt is not one that only happens inside the dojang; it also takes place at your home, at your church and in your community.  Every aspect of your life must reflect the Black Belt attitude that Mountain Tae Kwon Do’s Masters expect.  This teaches students to come to class with an open mind, practice hard and leave the dojang knowing that they tried as much as possible to better their skills.  While they learn, our students are also expected to help other students in their continual progress.  Our children practice 5 different aspects of taekwondo.  These include kicking and punching skills, forms (patterns), and one-step self-defenses, sparring and breaking.  There is not one are of taekwondo that is more important or outweighs another area; all 5 pillars are very important but all must coexist equally.

CONGRATULATIONS GRACE YANG ON GETTING ACCEPTED TO WEST POINT MILITARY SCHOOL!!!

Grace has trained with us for a long time and made it all the way to 3rd Degree! She is also the top of her class from Wakeland High School in Frisco TX. She is one of the hardest workers we know and we are very proud of what she has accomplished. Master Cho is especially proud to have seen her grow with Taekwondo trianing. We all know she will continue to grow and we're excited to see how far she goes!
